Results of my personality test (check this entry please)

    Personality Factors:

In this class we were talking about the diferents personalities and we answered some questions from a test by Myers Briggs
and the result I got was the following is :

    Your Type is
    ESFJ

    Extraverted
      Sensing
      Feeling
      Judging
    44
    1
    62
    1

    no-personality
    • moderately expressed extravert
    • slightly expressed sensing personality
    • distinctively expressed feeling personality
    • slightly expressed judging personality
    • I agree with most of the results, I believe I have a very sensitive personality who has great control at the time of making decisions. However, the percentage of extrovert that 44% is high in consideration of my personality does not say that is not a sociable person but I think a lesser extent. I think in the area of sensation is more into accountthe outcome.
      Personality Factors:
Exist 2 facets of the affective domain of SLA:
      1. Intrinsic side of affectively: personality factors within a person contribute in some way to the success of language learning .
      2. Extrinsic factors: socioculturals variables learn a second culture.
"The affective domain we should know that it's mean emotion or feeling".
Benjamin Bloom and his colleages were saying that it has been used for a general understanding of affective domain in human behaviour. He postulated fives levels :
      1. "receiving" be willing to receive to tolerate stimulus and give stimulus their controlled or select attention.
      2. "responding" the person is willing to respond voluntarily without coercion and then to receive satisfaction from that response.
      3. "valuing" takes on the characteristics of beliefs or attitudes as values are internalized.
      4. "organization" system of beliefs.
      5. "value system" accordance with tha values they have internalized and integrate beliefs, ideas and attitudes.
Now we have specific personality factors in human behaviour and how they relate to SLA:
      • Self-esteem: value of yourself, acceptance of self.
      • Inhibition: Inhibition is closely related to self-esteem: the weaker the self-esteem; the stronger the inhibition to protect the weak ego
      • Anxiety: nervous that can be permanent or in a situation oriented.
      • Empathy: puting yourself into someone else's shoes.
      • Extroversion: need to receive ego enhancement.
      • Motivation: driven to acquire positive reinforcement, and driven  by previous experiences or reward for behaviour
      • Introvertion: those who need the approval of other.
All this is important to me as future teachers, take into account these factors because I will be faced with different realities, I mean that all students who have come from totally different realities, maybe from dysfunctional families and because of this they present problems in personality and have some of these factors mentioned in the beginning, which is why I will have to understand this and help them overcome this problem.

Second Language Acquisition (SLA) (Check this entry please)

In the last class we speak about the Second Language Acquisition,
there are two manners of acquired a SLA such as Acquisition that
is acquired in a natural way, it's a gradual process and possesses
authentic materials. And the other side we have learning in an artificial way,
It’s given in a classroom and this learning is a conscious process.
However in this search for acquisition of the second language it is limited by barriers such as:
      Insufficient time.
      Other things going on.
      Dul textbooks.
      Affective factors.
Age, because it's more embarrassed and more within
Everyday communicative requirements are in the first language..

      * I think the most important is insufficient time because these days the hours allotted to English in schools are so few and the students have little time to learn and get answer your questions. Particularly as a future teacher is hard work in these conditions and within this also these other important barriers such as access by all schools to support materials such as books or a laboratory room that are essential for learning children, it is easier to use online or visual aids to facilitate the work of learning and motivating them. This obviously has great impact on my future goals as teacher because I hope to have all the tools necessary for achieving effective learning in children and achieve growth inthis new language is to become a challenge for everyone.

      1.    What did I understand today?

Methodology is a set of strategies and methods that help developed different kinds of activities, tasks and learning experiences use by a teacher with in the teaching and learning process and all this is based on the curriculum.

      2.    How is this connected to my future teaching experience?
Because it helps my future as a teacher, delivers the proper techniques and possible activities that I can use based on the curriculum and there by facilitate the work of students.

      3.     What are 3 concepts I would high light from this lesson?
Methods, language teaching and learning process.
